1st Time Pregnancy Tips/Guide

Congrats On your 1st pregnancy !! Becoming a first time mom can be bitter sweet. Like  “Am I ready to become a mom, Am I financially stable, who should I tell and last but not least OMG I cant believe I’m really pregnant.” But taking it one step at a time can really make a difference. So here’s Five things to do to help start your pregnancy.

1.Telling your Partner

Yes that’s the first thing I’d recommend. If it’s a planned 1st pregnancy then you’ll have someone to celebrate with and even if its a surprise then he’ll need to know so you can start planning as a team. But either way lets share the exciting news with your partner. I remember telling my Fiancé who was my boyfriend at the time and how great I felt knowing I would have some help on figuring it out.

2. Find a Good Healthcare Provider

Finding a  new ob/midwife  can be a little stressful at first but its worth it . You want to make sure you like your new caregiver, its important and you’ll be seeing them way too much during your pregnancy not to have a good relationship. Also make a list of all your questions for each visit, trust me by time you get there you wont remember half of it so just have a little note book or even a space in your phone to write it down.

3. Prenatal Vitamins

If you hate taking pills like I do then hearing that you have to take prenatal vitamins has to be a headache. But good news is that they have gummies prenatal. That’s what I took when I had my first baby and also with the second one . Vitamins with folic acid is important also but your doctor will get a little more into that.

4. Change your Diet

Changing your diet is really important if you plan on having a healthy baby. If your a coffee goer you might want to cut down on the caffeine. No raw meats or raw eggs. Like we all know this one but no ALCOHOL or SMOKING. Yes you’ll miss Friday nights going out and having a drink or two but we all want healthy babies so please don’t. What you’ll need to drink is a lot of water trust me. So more water intake.

 5. Announcing your Pregnancy

I know getting exciting news makes you want to tell the world but lets wait a little. Most people recommend on announcing their pregnancy around the 2nd trimester. Why? because we want to make sure were having a healthy baby and that were not so much in the danger zone. Good side to waiting is that it gives you time to plan a cute way to announce your pregnancy to friends and family.

Try to not feel overwhelmed, and take everything one step at a time. After all you have nine months to go or a little less. Trying to figure it out all at once might stress you out and stress is one thing you don’t need while being pregnant. If you found this article helpful please let me know in the comments below.
